I'm going to start by introducing myself. My name is Hope, I'm 26 years old. My husband Rick and I have been married for about 4 1/2 years. We have a son, Blake who is 2 years old. And our dog Jada is 6 years old. The three of them are my whole world. They are what complete me.
After I had my son I lost all the weight I had gained during pregnancy, however I managed to gain most of it back. About a year after he was born I realized I was only 20 pounds away from the weight I was when I gave birth. I was absolutely horrified and disgusted. But instead of doing what I needed to to get the weight off. I just became depressed about it. Therefore I continued to gain weight. In June of 2012 I was only 5 pounds away from my full term pregnancy weight. Around this time my best friend/cousin Justin introduced me to herbalife. I realized this was my chance to GET THIS WEIGHT OFF! At the end of June, I started drinking 2 herbalife meal replacement shakes a day. In the first month, I managed to lose 12 pounds! This gave me the motivation and energy to do more! After that 1st month, I started the couch to 5k (c25k) program. C25k is basically a running app that gradually builds you up to running a 5k! I had amazing success with this also and lost 8 more pounds the 2nd month.
Lets jump ahead to now! As of today, I have lost a total of 45 pounds and have at least 20 more I would like to lose. My current weight loss strategy is...... Water, water, water! I still drink 2 herbalife meal replacement shakes a day, log EVERYTHING I eat on my fitness pal (MFP) feel free to follow me there (khmarshall21), As well as various exercises to prevent boredom such as running, turbo fire and classes at the gym.
My goal is to motivate and inspire others to lose weight and be healthy!
